At BCBG°, we partnered with Tapas2Go to navigate the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico. When restaurants were forced to close their doors, Tapas2Go needed to rapidly transform their business model to survive and thrive in a new landscape.
The primary challenge was to pivot from a traditional dine-in restaurant model to a delivery-first operation while maintaining the quality and authenticity of their Spanish tapas experience. We needed to build a robust digital infrastructure, establish reliable delivery logistics, and create a compelling digital presence that would reach customers in their homes.
Our approach involved a comprehensive digital transformation strategy. We developed a user-friendly e-commerce platform, implemented a sophisticated order management system, created targeted digital marketing campaigns across social media and food delivery platforms, and optimized their delivery logistics to ensure hot, fresh food arrived at customers' doors. We also helped them adapt their menu and packaging for delivery while maintaining brand integrity.
The results exceeded expectations. Tapas2Go successfully launched their delivery service and captured significant market share during a critical period. The digital infrastructure we built proved so effective that even as restaurants reopened, Tapas2Go maintained and grew their delivery revenue stream. Today, their delivery business represents a substantial portion of their revenue, and they've expanded to multiple locations—a testament to the resilience and innovation we helped them achieve during the pandemic.
