At BCBG°, we partnered with San Diego FC for their inaugural season in Major League Soccer (MLS). This was a unique opportunity to build a passionate fanbase from the ground up and establish a sports brand in a city with a rich sports culture but no existing MLS presence.

The key challenge was multifaceted: create a compelling brand identity that resonated with San Diego's diverse population, build excitement and anticipation before the team even took the field, attract audiences not traditionally drawn to soccer, and establish season ticket sales and merchandise revenue from day one. We needed to make San Diego FC feel like 'our team'—deeply rooted in the city's culture and identity.

Our marketing strategy was comprehensive and community-centric. We developed a brand identity that reflected San Diego's unique culture—its diversity, its beach lifestyle, its entrepreneurial spirit, and its pride. We created a launch campaign that generated excitement and media coverage. We organized community events that brought together soccer enthusiasts and curious newcomers. We developed digital content that showcased the excitement, athleticism, and inclusivity of the sport. We partnered with local influencers, community leaders, and cultural institutions. We also created a season ticket campaign that emphasized the opportunity to be part of something historic.
